On December 8, 2018, the Korean Theater in collaboration with the ensemble “Bidulgi” (head, People’s Artist of the Kazakh SSR, member of the Council of Veterans of the Korean Theater, Kim Rimma Ivanovna) celebrated the triple anniversary with a theatrical performance “The days that we have passed …” on the stage of the M. Auezov Kazakh Drama Theater.
This year would have been the 80th anniversary of the honored artist of Kazakh SSR, vocalist of the Korean Theater, Vladimir Aleksandrovich Kim. His noble velvety tenor was known far beyond the borders of Kazakhstan, and his patient, gentle and restrained character won the respect of his colleagues and the love of his students.
In addition to his solo work, Vladimir Kim was one of the brightest vocalists of the Arirang Ensemble of the Korean Theater, well-known throughout the Soviet Union, which would celebrate its 50th anniversary this year. Many veterans of the ensemble with nostalgia experienced the most memorable moments in the life of the ensemble that evening, the videographic chronicle of which was shown on stage.
The junior hero of the day is a great creative project of Vladimir Alexandrovich and his wife Rimma Ivanovna Kim — the Bidulgi ensemble has been loved by viewers of all ages for 30 years. Several generations of dancers of the ensemble shone on the stage, including two granddaughters of Vladimir Alexandrovich and Rimma Ivanovna, Yuna and Vika, thus embodying the continuity of theatrical generations.
