From October 9 to 14, 2024, theatre took part in two festivals held in the Republic of Korea. Our artists on the invitation of the Chun-Gu District Administration participated at the “XV Festival of Preserving Traditions of Honoring Elders” in Daejeon and the “Day of Exchange of Traditional Asian Cultures” in Gwangju.
One group of theatre vocalists under the leadership of musical director Ayan Amangeldinov left for Daejeon (Vitaly Lee, Sergey Kim and Evgenia Yun). They took part in the opening and closing concerts of the festival, also performed in the evening event, presenting a concert program of Korean and Kazakh folk songs.
The second group of soloists and vocalists of the theater managed by the head of the literary department Vasily Tsai went to Gwangju: Roman Kim, Maya Lee and Tolegen Rakhimbayev. They presented a classical repertoire in Korean and Kazakh languages.
The festivals have become an important platform for cultural exchange and strengthening friendly relations between the Republic of Korea and the Republic of Kazakhstan.
