Körisu Kunі – Amal Merekеsi

Home > News > Körisu Kunі – Amal Merekеsi

On March 14, Kazakhstan marks Körisu Kuni—a day dedicated to warm greetings, meaningful reunions, and heartfelt wishes. This tradition symbolizes the arrival of spring and emphasizes the importance of human connection.

To celebrate this occasion, Larisa ValentinovnaKim—Associate Professor and Professor at the Faculty of Choreography at the Temirbek Zhurgenov Kazakh National Academy of Arts, and a recipient of the Dostyk Order (2nd degree)—held a masterclass on Kazakh dance for students of the “Bidulgi” Korean theater dance studio.

During the session, Professor Kim introduced the young participants to the history of Kazakh dance and guided them through the fundamental movements of traditional Kazakh women’s dance.

The event took place in an atmosphere of warmth and mutual understanding. The younger students eagerly embraced the wisdom shared with them, while the older generation found joy in passing down their knowledge and experience. Hugs became more than gestures—they were a powerful symbol of love, unity, and the unbreakable connection between generations, reminding everyone of the importance of support and heartfelt kindness.
