Today, the Honored Artist of the Kazakh SSR, the performer of the primary and leading roles and one of the pillars of the Korean Theater, Maya Sanchunovna Pak, passed away.
Maya Sanchunovna was known to viewers throughout the Soviet Union for the roles of Chun Hyang, Sim Chen, Karagoz, and Bayan-Sulu. Not having an exceptional education, but having a natural talent and love for art, Maya Sanchunovna brilliantly played more than 100 roles in various theater productions. For merits in the field of culture and art, she was repeatedly awarded Diplomas of the Kazakh SSR and the Republic of Kazakhstan
As for us, our stage colleague, Maya Sanchunovna was dear, first of all, as a reliable stage partner and a strict but understanding mentor.
