A well-known theater and film actor, director, people’s artist and laureate of the State Prize of Kazakhstan, Hero of Labour, a veteran of the Great Patriotic War, Man-era, Man – legend Yuri Borisovich Pomerantsev has passed away.
He was born on February 11, 1923, in Kyiv.
All his conscious life he worked at the National Academic Russian Drama Theater named after M. Yu. Lermontov. The master of stage impersonation, bright and convincing characters Y. Pomerantsev created his best images on the stage of this theater. During his creative career, the people’s artist has performed more than 300 roles; his professional experience is 79 years.
He gained national love and fame after participating in the film Our Dear Doctor in 1957, where he played the role of Dr. Anatoly Nikolaevich Lavrov.
Hero of Labor of Kazakhstan, holder of many orders, including the Order of the Red Banner of Labor, the Order of the Patriotic War, and the Order of Otan, the owner of many other awards. Yuri Borisovich was elected a deputy of the Supreme Council of Kaz. SSR.

Yuri Borisovich Pomerantsev lived a worthy life, left a rich cultural heritage, and will forever remain in our memory.
