About the interview “Тәуелсіздік бәрінен қымбат” (“Independence is the most valuable treasure”) of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev.
The President of Kazakhstan, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, said in an interview with “Тәуелсіздік бәрінен қымбат” (“Independence is the most valuable treasure”) newspaper “Егеменді Қазақстан” that Kazakhstan is a single state, it is not divided into southern, northern and eastern regions.
“We have borders fixed by bilateral agreements, recognized by the whole world,” Kassym-Jomart Tokayev emphasized.
The head of state in his interview also dwelled on the historical events that affected Kazakhstan. According to him, if it were not for the famine in 1921-1922, the country’s population would have been much larger.
The President also said that many different nationalities have lived on Kazakh land since ancient times. He noted that in Kazakhstan no one has ever been singled out on ethnic grounds. “Today their homeland is Kazakhstan. It is clear that we have managed to turn our multinationality to our advantage. We refuted the forecasts of many foreign experts about our country, for example, as a “failed state” in Eurasia. The Assembly of the People of Kazakhstan worked effectively in this direction, which laid the foundation for peace and stability,” the President said. He called on citizens to appreciate the harmony of the unity of the Kazakhstan people.
“We must promote common values that unite our people. For example, it is necessary to develop a concept for the celebration of Nauryz and enrich the content of the spring holiday. The more values unite the whole society, the stronger our unity will be,” said Kassym-Jomart Tokayev.
The President noted that opportunities are being created for all ethnic groups in Kazakhstan to preserve their traditions and develop languages.
The tasks set by the President are very relevant and important. The State Republican Korean Academic Theater of Musical Comedy will continue to work in this direction, promoting friendship and peace in our country. The theater contributes to the development of the culture of multinational Kazakhstan.
