“Prozit!” is a surreal drama directed by Ekaterina Pen and choreographed by Svetlana Dominskaya, inspired by Bertolt Brecht’s 1924 play “A Respectable Wedding.”
A wedding — the day that’s supposed to be the happiest in a couple’s life. Everything is perfect: the bride is dazzlingly beautiful and pure, the groom is strong and dependable, the guests behave with grace, and the parents shed tender tears of joy. But peer behind this carefully curated picture, and the celebration of love unravels into farce, while the “perfect” wedding becomes a grotesque parody of itself.
What lies beneath the rituals, the smiles, and the wedding toasts? How fragile is the façade of decency? And what happens when it starts to crack?
“Prozit!” is an explosive cocktail of satire, striking imagery, Broadway jazz, absurdity, and ruthless truth — exposing how social conventions penetrate even our most intimate spaces: love and marriage.
The concept of the production is framed around the reflection:
“The primary instinct of a human being is not survival — it’s family.”
