On the eve of the 87th theatrical season, within the framework of the State Program “Ruhani Zhangyru”, the State Republican Academic Korean Theater of Musical Comedy turns its attention to the work of one of the greatest Turkic-speaking writers of our time – Chingiz Torekulovich Aitmatov, laureate of three USSR State Prizes, applicant for the Nobel Prize in Literature 2008, Cavalier of the Order “Otan”, winner of the Prize of Peace and spiritual consent of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
On September 7, 2018 at 19:00 in honor of the 90th anniversary of the birth of Chingiz Aitmatov the premiere of the performance of the Korean theater “Farewell, Gulsary!” was held in the building of the G. Musrepov Kazakh State Academic Theater for Children and Youth.
One of the representatives of the “new wave” of Kazakh theater directors, Dina Zhumabayeva, acted as the director of the new creative “canvas” of the theater. Non-standard directorial moves, plastic solutions, atmospheric music fill the Master’s classic work with a completely different meaning, sometimes shocking the viewer with the action taking place on stage. We dare to hope that the new production will make you think about the frailty of life, transient and permanent life values and worldview.
