On October 24, 2020, the State Academic Korean Musical Comedy Theater opens the 89th theater season.
The curtain of the theater will be opened with a performance-philosophical parable “If I call myself a man.” The premiere is dedicated to the 175th anniversary of the great poet Abay Kunanbayev.
The performance is inspired by the director – Dina Zhumabayeva. The co-director of the performance is the chief director of the theater Elena Kim.
The thoughts of the educator and poet Abay Kunanbaev are close to all mankind. His works, poems, words of edification are relevant to this day. The philosophy of the poet is known to many nations. That is why the performance is a synthesis of cultures, it organically intertwined the customs and traditions of the Korean people with the works and “Words of Edification” of the poet. Live accompaniment, Abai’s songs, Korean plastic, the philosophy of the unity of opposites will not leave the audience indifferent.
This season, the theater opens it’s doors in not quite typical conditions, as, indeed, all theaters in the world. But we are glad to meet our viewers.
